Does your child seem to have trouble hearing or understanding what others say to them? You should first have your child's hearing tested. If they do not have hearing loss, then it could be an Auditory Processing Disorder (APD).
"Auditory Processing is what the brain does with what the ear hears."
~Jack Katz, Ph.D.
Our practice puts your child's hearing and communication needs first. We are proud to provide a high quality level of diagnostic audiological and APD services. Our goal is to identify any potential auditory processing deficits and to provide an effective management plan specific to your child's needs. Every child is unique.
Our Audiologist is specially trained in audiometric evaluations, including assessment of your child's auditory processing skills. We understand the importance of choosing an appropriate battery of tests that will help identify potential APD weaknesses or deficits and in educating you on the most effective ways to improve your child's communication skills.
Not only will our practice treat your child's hearing or auditory processing problems, we also work to ensure they are receiving appropriate management and compensatory strategies in their classroom. We strive to help improve your child's quality of communication by also providing direct auditory therapy to all diagnosed with APD.
